The MMPI-A (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-Adolescent) is specifically designed for assessing personality and psychopathology in adolescents. It includes several types of scales to measure various aspects of psychological health.

The MMPI-A comprises validity scales, which help to determine the authenticity and consistency of responses; clinical scales, which are used to measure specific psychological conditions; and adolescent content scales, which address issues particular to the adolescent population.

Behavioral scales, on the other hand, are not part of the MMPI-A. While the instrument assesses behavior indirectly through its clinical and other scales, it does not contain a distinct set of scales specifically labeled as behavioral scales. Instead, it focuses on measuring personality traits and psychological issues that are relevant to adolescents.
